Here are the directions to the aid stations that your crew can meet you at (and a few additional access points.)
Virgin Dam Aid (mile 10.6) From the park in Virgin, take a left on Hwy 9, heading west for just over a mile to Sheep’s Bridge road. Take a left and continue on Sheep’s Bridge road for just under 3 miles to the aid station near the Virgin Dam Trailhead sign. This station will be staffed from 6:00 am until approximately 8:30am on Friday. GPS Coordinates: 37°10’43.00″N 113°14’19.70″W
The Goosebump Aid (miles 19.1, 31, and 58.3)- From Virgin Dam Aid, continue south on Sheep’s Bridge road until it connects with Hwy 59. Take a left. Continue 9 miles you’ll pass a gas station on the left-hand side in Apple Valley. Continue on Hwy 59 for about two more miles. Watch for a “Scenic Byway” sign, and turn left onto a dirt road (Smithsonian Butte Rd.) Three miles later, just as you reach the mountain, the Gooseberry Mesa road turns off on your left. Another 3.6 miles after the turnoff, take the right fork at the outhouse. Stay on this road until it ends at the mesa’s edge. This station will be manned and ready from 7:00am Friday until 1am on Saturday morning.

Grafton Mesa Aid (miles 37.3 and 52)- From the Goosebump aid station, backtrack to Smithsonian Butte road (about 5 miles). Turn left and go just over a mile to the Grafton Mesa aid station. Please be extremely thoughtful of the runners along the road, keeping your speed and the dust down for them. This aid station will be manned and ready from 9:15 am to 11:30pm on Friday. Smithsonian Butte/Grafton road water station- From Grafton Mesa Aid station, continue down (East/Northeast) for about 3.5 miles until the dirt road ends. This is the crew access point. If coming from the Start/Finish Line in Virgin, drive east on Hwy 9 towards the main entrance to Zion National Park. After driving ten miles, you’ll turn right on Bridge Road (200E) in Rockville. After crossing the bridge you’ll stay on the paved road for a mile and a half to the crew access point, which the runners will pass through twice (miles 41 and 47). This is where pacers are allowed to begin accompanying their runners. GPS coordinates: 37° 9’3.75″N 113° 3’31.16″W
Dalton Wash water station- From the starting line, head east on Hwy 9 towards the main entrance to Zion National Park. After a mile and a half, turn left on Dalton Wash road and continue for 1/4 mile to a dirt road on the left. This is the water station. Runners will pass through here at mile 63 and 81. Walsh Aid Station (mile 83)- Less than half a mile up Kolob Reservoir road in Virgin,turn left at the fire station(385 E). The Walsh’s house is the first house on the left. The aid station will be manned and ready from 5pm Friday to 10am on Saturday.

Smith Mesa Aid (miles 89 and 92)- From the Kolob Reservoir road (aka Kolob Terrace road) continue for 8 miles to the Smith Mesa dirt road on your left. Follow this road around the mesa for almost 16 miles until you reach the aid station, 1/10 mile after a cattle guard. This is Smith Mesa Aid. Please don’t drive along Mesa road (across from Sheep’s Bridge road) if you’re going to access this aid station. It is a narrow road and we want to reduce traffic for the exhausted runners. You won’t regret the Smith Mesa road drive, it is one of the most scenic roads in the area with incredible views. The aid station will be manned and ready from 6:30pm on Friday to 12pm on Saturday. Mesa Rd. water station: Mesa road is directly across Hwy 9 from Sheep’s Bridge road, about a mile west of the start/finish line. Follow it up just under a mile to the dirt road junction that the runners will follow to the finish line. Runners will come through here about 2 miles before reaching the finish line.
